Bulldogs Shine at SEC Outdoor Championships
In Auburn, Alabama, the Georgia Bulldogs showcased their talent at the Southeastern Conference Outdoor Championships. The women’s team finished third and the men’s team took fifth, thanks to standout performances in various events.
Senior Dejanea Oakley made headlines by running the second-fastest 400-meter dash in collegiate history at 48.92 seconds. This performance not only broke her own school record but also set a new meet record. Last year, Aaliyah Butler won Georgia’s first SEC title in this event.
Redshirt freshman Adaejah Hodge also impressed, claiming the women’s 200-meter championship with a time of 21.92 seconds, which ranks fourth on the all-time collegiate list. She bettered her own record of 22.10 set earlier this season.
On the men’s side, junior Kimani Jack excelled in the high jump, clearing 2.23 meters (7 feet, 3¾ inches). This victory marked a second consecutive title for Georgia in this event, following teammate Riyon Rankin’s win in 2025.
Florida dominated the women’s overall competition with 107 points, followed closely by Alabama at 91.5 and Georgia at 90. On the men’s side, Arkansas led with 110.5 points, with Alabama and Florida following.
