Exciting Changes for WSU Volleyball: New Coaches Join the Team
Washington State University’s volleyball program is buzzing with excitement as they welcome two new coaches: Jeff Ross and Keith Saito.
Meet Jeff Ross—Associate Head Coach
Jeff Ross comes with a strong track record from Douglas College, where he coached for a decade. Under his leadership, the team clinched two PACWEST Championships, and he earned the title of PACWEST Coach of the Year three times. His coaching skills also led him to win the CCAA Coach of the Year award in 2022. Ross boasts an impressive winning percentage of .639, with a record of 122 wins to 69 losses.
What truly sets Jeff apart is his commitment to improving. He’s not just a coach; he’s also shared his knowledge with Team Canada, serving as an assistant coach for the U21 National Team.
Head Coach Korey Schroeder sums it up well: “Jeff has built a winning culture and knows how to develop athletes. His passion for coaching and his energy will bring so much to our program.”
Introducing Keith Saito—Assistant Coach
Keith Saito brings valuable experience from his time at the University of Florida, where he handled statistics and video analysis. He has worked with teams at various levels, including Missouri and Nebraska Omaha. His analytical skills will help players receive actionable feedback, enhancing their skills and confidence on the court.
Originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, Saito studied Exercise Science at Creighton University before earning a Master’s degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration. His background in stats and player development creates a unique advantage for WSU volleyball.
Coach Schroeder praises Keith for his relational skills: “He connects with players on a personal level and truly cares about their growth. His ability to break down complex information will benefit our athletes immensely.”
