Amanda Seyfried recently shared a funny story about a wardrobe blunder during the 2023 Critics Choice Awards. She revealed that Glen Powell came to her rescue when her dress unexpectedly malfunctioned.
While reminiscing with People, Seyfried explained, “My boobs fell out of my dress.” She had chosen a stunning vintage dress and even had her stylist try it on just for fun before the event. Unfortunately, the dress wasn’t well-constructed and began to fall apart once she hit the red carpet. “I think there were even interviews where I’m saying it’s breaking off,” she noted.
Things took a turn while she was chatting with Glen. “We were having a great time, joking around. I lifted my arms, and suddenly my dress just fell apart,” Seyfried said. Both were startled, but Glen quickly jumped into action to cover her. “He didn’t look… I think. None of us were expecting that, but that dress had truly just given up.”
Despite the embarrassing moment, Seyfried left the event as a winner. She took home the award for best actress in a limited series or movie made for television for her role in “The Dropout.” Powell wasn’t nominated but was there to support “Top Gun: Maverick,” which had a strong presence at the awards, although it didn’t win any categories.
