Discover 150 Vande Bharat Services Across India: New Train Launching in Rajasthan!

Since its debut in 2019, the Vande Bharat Express has revolutionized train travel in India. It’s not just faster; it’s also a more comfortable way to travel. Indian Railways is now adding a new Vande Bharat route in Rajasthan, aiming to improve regional connections and support the local economy.

In April 2023, Rajasthan welcomed its first Vande Bharat train, running between Ajmer and Delhi. This train is the world’s first semi-high-speed passenger train designed for areas with high-rise overhead electric lines. This route has boosted access to popular tourist destinations like Pushkar and the Ajmer Sharif Dargah.

Currently, four pairs of Vande Bharat trains operate in Rajasthan:

  • Ajmer – Chandigarh
  • Jodhpur – Sabarmati
  • Udaipur – Jaipur
  • Udaipur – Agra Cantt

A new train connecting Jodhpur to Delhi is in the works, which will save travelers over an hour. A railway official confirmed, “There is planning to launch a new Vande Bharat train between Jodhpur and Delhi.”

Across India, 150 Vande Bharat trains are in service. To meet rising demand, Indian Railways has introduced 13 pairs of 20-coach trains on busy routes like Varanasi–Delhi and Mumbai–Gandhinagar.

The Ministry of Railways also plans to upgrade three more routes to 20-coach services:

  • Mangaluru Central – Thiruvananthapuram Central
  • Secunderabad – Tirupati
  • Chennai Egmore – Tirunelveli

Each Vande Bharat train can reach speeds of 160 km/h, making travel quicker without sacrificing comfort. They come with modern amenities such as the Kavach safety system, spacious seating, charging ports, and automated doors.

As the Vande Bharat network grows, it continues to enhance long-distance travel in India, combining speed, safety, and modern comforts. This train isn’t just about getting from A to B; it’s about making the journey enjoyable and efficient.
