The caravan, humorously named “The Vision,” now sits there, a stark contrast to the views he once had of Windsor Castle.
Interestingly, despite the change, Andrew appears surprisingly content. Sources suggest he enjoys his new surroundings, with one insider saying, “He likes it. He’s a changed man.” This is particularly striking considering he used to live lavishly. Once, he spent £17 million on a luxury ski chalet in Verbier.
The caravan, a £26,000 model purchased with funds from his brother, King Charles, is meant to house Andrew’s security team, as his main home lacks space. It lacks the luxury one might expect, featuring cheap interiors typical of a static model—not quite the royal style he was used to. Ironically, he seems unfazed, with a friend humorously noting how he has “swapped ski chalets for static chalets.”
The King is known for his dislike of extravagance, so it’s no surprise that the royal family finds the situation amusing. Staff at Sandringham have mixed feelings; many find it ironic that Andrew can’t even afford his own caravan.
