The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and JFK Millennium Partners are working together on the new Terminal 6 (T6) at John F. Kennedy International Airport. This impressive $4.2 billion project includes some exciting food and drink options. Three popular New York brands—P J Clarke’s, For Five Coffee Roasters, and Brooklyn Brewery—will make their airport debut when T6 opens in 2026.

Rick Cotton, executive director of the Port Authority, shared his excitement. He believes these iconic brands will enhance the traveler experience. “These businesses will reflect the unique energy of New York,” he said.

Steve Thody, CEO of JFK Millennium Partners, echoed this sentiment. He noted that T6 aims to embody the spirit of New York City. By including these beloved brands, they hope to provide travelers with a true taste of New York.

The Brands:

• P J Clarke’s: A beloved saloon-style restaurant known for its classic American dishes and cocktails.
• For Five Coffee Roasters: A trendy coffee shop focused on specialty brews.
• Brooklyn Brewery: An independent craft brewery celebrated worldwide.

Paul Loupakos from SSP America emphasized these brands’ significance. He stated, “Each one is rooted in New York’s rich culture, making them perfect for JFK’s international visitors.” This opening reflects a commitment to authentic dining experiences.

T6 is being developed in two phases. The first phase, which includes six gates, is scheduled to open in 2026, with the full project expected to be finished by 2028.

Adding to the buzz, recent surveys show that more travelers are seeking local dining experiences at airports. In fact, a report by Airports Council International revealed that 66% of passengers prefer to try local brands when traveling. This trend shows how important it is for airports to engage travelers with authentic options.
