Discover the New Warminster Food Bank: Grand Opening This Wednesday!

Warminster Food Bank is thrilled to announce its move to a new location at 495 E. County Line Road in Warminster Township. This transition is more than just a change of address; it’s a step toward better serving the community.

With 1,778 square feet of space in the Town & Country Shopping Center, the food bank will now provide improved access for those facing food insecurity. The new site offers ample free parking and is much more convenient for local residents. Services at the new location are set to begin this Wednesday.

This expansion has been made possible by a grant from the John A. Powell Family Foundation, which covers the lease for five years, with the option to extend another five. The urgency for this move came after the Warminster Heights board decided to discontinue the use of the previous location after 67 years. The last day of service at the former site was March 19.

The food bank’s Executive Director, Joe Cerino, expressed optimism about the new space. “While the Downey Drive location has been home since 1958, we knew we needed a larger area for our growing client base,” he said. “This new spot is an opportunity to better fulfill our mission and support those in need more effectively.”

Currently, the Warminster Food Bank serves over 650 families across Bucks and Montgomery Counties. With the new facilities, they hope to increase their outreach and enhance the shopping experience for clients.

The demand for food assistance is significant. According to recent reports, as many as 10% of households in the US experience food insecurity at some point during the year. This rate has only risen in recent years, making the role of food banks more critical than ever.

As the Warminster Food Bank opens its doors at the new location, it invites community members to contribute by donating nonperishable food items. The commitment to fighting hunger continues. For more information about their services and how to help, you can visit Warminster Food Bank’s website.

In today’s world, local food banks like Warminster play an essential role in supporting families and strengthening community ties. This move marks an exciting new chapter, and together, we can make a real difference in the lives of our neighbors.
