NATORE, May 19, 2025 – Syeda Rizwana Hasan, an adviser on Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, spoke today at a gathering with local environmental groups and students. She stressed that safeguarding the environment is a shared duty, not just the government’s job.

“This is the moment for action,” she emphasized. “If young people become aware and active, a cleaner Bangladesh can be a reality.” Her remarks came during a discussion held at the Natore Circuit House.

Rizwana expressed her alarm over industrial waste, mentioning it as a serious threat to our environment. She acknowledged the government’s efforts to tackle industrial pollution and highlighted the importance of managing liquid waste effectively.

Attendees included Natore’s Deputy Commissioner, Asma Shaheen, Superintendent of Police, Md. Marufat Hossain, and various students and activists. The students showed strong support for environmental protection and posed insightful questions to Rizwana.

In her responses, she urged them to join the environmental movement. “The choices we make today will shape a livable Bangladesh for future generations,” she concluded.
