Exciting News: Ashish Dikshit Takes the Helm as Managing Director of Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands

Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. announced that Ashish Dikshit will take on additional responsibilities as Managing Director of the new Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands Ltd. This decision came during a board meeting on Thursday, where they also appointed Vishak Kumar as Deputy Managing Director and CEO of the demerged entity. Both appointments will be effective May 1, 2025, pending necessary approvals.

Dikshit has a robust background with over 30 years of experience. He began his career at Asian Paints and later spent 15 years at Madura Fashion and Lifestyle, where he held various roles in sales, brand management, and supply chain. He became President of the Lifestyle division in 2007 and took over as CEO in 2012. An alumnus of prestigious institutions like IIT-Madras, IIM-Bangalore, and Harvard Business School, he has both technical and managerial expertise.

Vishak Kumar has been with the Aditya Birla group since 1995. He has a rich history in sales and marketing, serving as CEO of Madura Fashion & Lifestyle before this new position. His leadership has been pivotal in transforming the ‘More’ Supermarket and Hypermarket brands.

Recent trends show that the fashion retail sector is experiencing significant shifts, with a notable increase in consumers favoring sustainable and lifestyle brands.
