Experience Culinary Bliss: Malibu Food & Wine Festival Launches at Stunning Saddlerock Ranch!

This weekend, the first-ever Malibu Food & Wine festival is set to take place at Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu, California. From September 5-7, the festival will showcase a delightful mix of tastings, engaging dining experiences, and unique culinary activities. Hosted by Adam Richman, the event features a dazzling lineup of celebrated chefs, including Jet Tila, Duff Goldman, and Michael Voltaggio, alongside top restaurants and wineries.

The idea for the festival came from Celebrity Chef Marcel Vigneron and entrepreneur Lauren Rae Levy, who wanted to create a gathering that celebrates community, especially after the challenges posed by the recent Palisades Fires. “We wanted to highlight local businesses and help restore some of what was lost,” Levy explains. By bringing the community together through food, they hope to shine a light on local eateries that need support.

Beyond great food, the festival will include artisans from Topanga and Malibu selling handcrafted items, such as jewelry and kitchenware. “We want attendees to shop local while enjoying the festival,” says Levy.

Another exciting aspect of the event is its mentorship program. In collaboration with the Culinary Careers Program (C-CAP), culinary students will work alongside experienced chefs, allowing them to gain invaluable insights and build future careers in the culinary arts.

Importantly, a percentage of the festival’s proceeds will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Malibu. This local nonprofit has been pivotal in supporting youth and families during recovery efforts from the fires, donating over $200,000 to those affected. The club’s retail space has even provided essentials for victims.

Chef participants bring diverse culinary traditions, showcasing dishes crafted from California’s rich bounty—think seafood, global flavors, and plenty of vegan options, all presented in a laid-back yet elegant environment. As Vigneron notes, “California is a melting pot of cultures, and our food reflects that.”

Saddlerock Ranch is not just a pretty backdrop; it’s a working winery with stunning views and a pleasant microclimate. The ranch is known for hosting memorable events, and this festival aims to create joyous memories while fostering community support and growth.

Sustainable practices are also a core focus of the festival. In partnership with Tesla, many chefs will arrive in electric vehicles to minimize their carbon footprint. Additionally, eco-conscious brands will be featured throughout the event.

Whether it’s the delicious food, the artisan shopping, or the community spirit, the Malibu Food & Wine festival promises to be a weekend to remember. For more information, visit the official festival website here.
