TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (October 30, 2025) – The University of North Alabama women’s tennis team is gearing up for the Roberto Alison Fall Classic in Tuscaloosa, happening this weekend. This tournament marks their last fall invitational, and they want to finish strong.
The team recently played in the Conference Individual Tournament in Jacksonville, Florida. Here, senior Eeva Ristola and junior Mathilde Delaney shined, securing five wins. Ristola took third place in singles and also excelled in doubles, ending up third with Delaney.
Before Jacksonville, the Lions participated in the ITA Southern Regional Championships at Auburn, where they won 14 matches against tough competition.
This weekend’s tournament will feature both singles and doubles matches. The schedule includes one round of doubles and two rounds of singles on Friday, followed by two rounds of doubles and one round of singles on Saturday. The event takes place at the Alabama Tennis Stadium, and fans can catch live video on selected courts.
