Samsung is gearing up for One UI 7, which is based on Android 15, for its Galaxy S24 series. While the official update is set to launch on April 7, there’s still one more beta version in the works.
The company plans to release a total of six beta updates before the full version goes live. Recently, tech tipster Tarun Vats uncovered a new beta firmware, identified as build version ZYCC, on Samsung’s servers. This follows the fifth beta, which was released on March 17. The recent update introduced the Log video recording feature, which was previously available on the Galaxy S25 series.
Along with new features, the fifth beta also tackled various bugs, including an issue that prevented a live media player widget from appearing in the Now Bar. Samsung aims to address more bugs in the upcoming beta release, although the final fixes might come with the official app launch.
It’s important to note that the stable One UI 7 update will not roll out to all users simultaneously on April 7. Initially, only select markets will receive it, while others may experience a wait of up to two weeks. Additionally, One UI 7 will also extend to devices like the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 in the coming month, supported by Samsung’s wide ecosystem of flagship devices launched this year and the next.
