H-E-B recently revealed the finalists for the 2025 Excellence in Education Awards in Texas. This year, the program recognizes five early childhood facilities, five public school boards, and eight school districts across the state, including Gonzales Primary Academy in Gonzales.
Each of the 18 finalists will receive $5,000, bringing the total to $90,000 awarded this year. In May, these finalists will compete for larger prizes. A team of judges will visit each campus to meet with staff, parents, and community members. Winners will be announced at a ceremony on Sunday, May 4, at the Hilton Austin.
If selected, early childhood facilities could win $25,000. School boards may receive up to $25,000, while a large school district could take home $100,000 and a smaller district could get $50,000.
