Join the Celebration: Harvest Regional Food Bank’s ‘Taste of Texarkana’ Returns for Its 32nd Year – Don’t Miss Out!

Harvest Regional Food Bank is thrilled to bring back its annual event, Taste of Texarkana, on October 14, from 5 PM to 8 PM at the Four States Fairgrounds Arena. This marks the 32nd year of this beloved gathering, where over 40 vendors will offer tasty samples and compete for awards like Best of Taste and Crowd Favorite.

“Taste of Texarkana is a highlight for the community,” says Camille Coker Wrinkle, Executive Director of Harvest Regional Food Bank. “Thanks to our generous sponsors, everyone can enjoy a fun night filled with delicious food while helping us in our mission to combat hunger in southwest Arkansas and northeast Texas.”

Dr. Ly and Aaron Gaylor are the Grand Presenting sponsors this year. Other notable sponsors include the Patterson-Troike Foundation and Wholesale Electric Supply Co. Several local businesses, such as Cooper Tire and Simmons Bank, also support the event.

“It’s always wonderful to see the community gather to support Harvest Regional Food Bank,” Aaron Gaylor adds. “Reconnecting with familiar faces makes it even more special.”

Tickets are reasonably priced: $25 for adults in advance, $30 at the door, and $10 for kids ages 6-12. Children under 5 can attend for free. VIP tickets are available for $50 and offer exclusive perks, like reserved seating and a beverage station. Harvest Regional Food Bank plays a crucial role in fighting hunger. It serves Bowie County, TX, and several counties in Arkansas, distributing nearly 4 million pounds of food to around 100 partner organizations. They also run Mobile Pantry distributions to reach underserved areas directly.

With food insecurity on the rise—affecting approximately 10.5% of households in the U.S. in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture—events like Taste of Texarkana are essential. They not only raise funds but also raise awareness about hunger in our communities.
