Jacksonville, Fla. (May 29, 2025) – Howard University graduate Noah Langford from Virginia Beach has advanced to the NCAA East Regional Quarterfinals. He achieved a personal best in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 49.94 seconds.

The race faced a four-hour weather delay. Despite the wait, Langford’s performance was impressive, marking the second-fastest time in this round. Tennessee’s Jevon Williams led with a time of 49.80 seconds.

Langford also took part in the 110-meter hurdles but narrowly missed advancing. Louisiana Tech’s Oscar Smith topped this event with a time of 13.52 seconds.

In the long jump, seniors Kyle Fisher from Duluth and Sean Wray from Stafford competed but didn’t qualify for the next stage. However, Fisher and Chase Drewery from Waldorf are set to participate in the triple jump on Friday at 2:30 p.m.

Track and field events have gained a lot of attention lately, with social media buzzing about standout performances.
