Lumberjacks Kick Off Season Strong: Undefeated After First Weekend – Northern Arizona University Athletics

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (January 24, 2026) – The Lumberjack men’s tennis team is off to an incredible start this season, remaining undefeated at 4-0. They achieved this with two commanding victories against Ottawa, both ending in 7-0 sweeps.

In the first match, players Noa Tcherniack and Ivan Perisic dominated their singles matches, both winning without dropping a single game. The doubles duo of Felix Neumeister and Daniels Tens secured the doubles point with a clean 6-0 win.

The second match was similarly impressive. The Lumberjacks recorded nine sets where their opponents didn’t win a single game. Notable performances came from Takumi Katsuda, Tens, and Perisic, who all finished their matches 6-0, 6-0.

Looking ahead, they’ll face Utah State University on January 30, which promises to be another exciting showdown.
