Oregon State Women’s Rowing Opens Spring Season with Challenges
Oregon State’s women’s rowing team started their 2026 spring season on a tough note. Competing in Redwood Shores, California, they faced off against California and were unable to secure a win in any of the four matchups.
In the varsity eight event, Oregon State finished second with a time of 6:34.2, while the second varsity eight also came in second at 6:46.7. The varsity four race was similarly competitive. California won by just three seconds, with a time of 7:16.7 to Oregon State’s 7:19.7. The second varsity four took another second-place finish with a time of 7:42.6.
Looking ahead, the Beavers will return to the water on March 28 in Lowell, Oregon, hosting the Oregon State Invite. They will race against Gonzaga, Portland, Santa Clara, and Seattle U.
