Unbelievable Twist: Thai Woman’s Cremation Interrupted by Mysterious Knocking from Coffin!

A surprising incident occurred at the Wat Rat Prakhong Tham temple near Bangkok, Thailand. Staff discovered a 65-year-old woman alive in her coffin just before her scheduled cremation. The temple’s manager, Pairat Soodthoop, heard a faint knock coming from the coffin and decided to open it. He found the woman slightly opening her eyes and knocking.

Her brother had been told by local officials that she had died, but he didn’t have a death certificate. While trying to explain this to him, staff heard the knocking. Once it became clear she was alive, the temple’s abbot immediately insisted on getting her to the hospital.

Doctors later confirmed she was suffering from severe hypoglycemia, which occurs when blood sugar levels drop dangerously low. Thankfully, there was no evidence of respiratory failure or cardiac arrest. Her brother mentioned that she had been bedridden for two years, and when her health worsened, she appeared to stop breathing.

The family had traveled nearly 500 kilometers from Phitsanulok for the cremation, only to discover she was still alive.

This incident raises awareness about the risks of misdiagnosis, particularly in elderly patients. According to a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, up to 30% of patients can be misdiagnosed, leading to serious consequences.
