During this week, athletes from different countries, including Canada, the U.S., France, Norway, Czechia, and Japan, will compete in a unique format that combines freeride and freestyle snowboarding. The exact event days will depend on weather conditions, adding an extra layer of thrill to the competition.

One of the highlights this year is the inclusion of two outstanding women snowboarders from Research & Development, an all-women backcountry freestyle event. Ellery Manning, the winner of the 2024 competition, and Šárka Pančochová, the 2025 winner, will join six other women athletes. Manning expressed her excitement: “Being invited to NST felt surreal and made me realize that I can make snowboarding a real-life goal.” She loves how this event blends different styles, allowing riders to be super creative.

Famous snowboarders like Ståle Sandbech and Brin Alexander will also be participating, bringing their skills and experience to the slopes. The competition includes a bracket-style contest where the top 12 competitors from Day 1 will advance to the finals on Day 2.

For those who can’t make it to the mountain, don’t worry! This year, both event days will be streamed live on Red Bull TV. Spectators in Revelstoke can also catch the action on screens at locations like Revelation Lodge and Montana Bowl. As NST co-founder Travis Rice states, the Revelstoke community is unmatched, and witnessing this event live will be an unforgettable experience.

If you’re feeling adventurous, there’s a new Snaked Bank Slalom event where you can test your skills against the pros! This fun race will take place under the Stellar Chair on March 15, starting at 10:30 a.m. It’s free to enter, and there will be awards for participants. Donations will also be accepted for the Revelstoke Snowboard Academy.

Overall, the week is packed with free events and activities starting on March 9. For a full schedule, check out the details on the Revelstoke Mountain Resort website.
