Apple TV and Peacock are teaming up to offer a streaming bundle starting next week for just $14.99 a month. This deal allows customers to save over 30% from the regular prices. You can pick between the ad-supported Peacock Premium or the ad-free Peacock Premium Plus, which costs $19.99 a month.
This partnership is strategic for both NBCUniversal and Apple. NBCUniversal has recently signed distribution deals with Amazon and Google. This bundle is launching right before the NBA season, giving Peacock exclusive access to a variety of games.
For Apple, this move marks a shift. They’ve previously avoided discounts on their Apple One service, but this bundle allows Family and Premier tier subscribers a 35% discount on the streaming service.
Streaming bundles are rare, but interest is growing. Warner Bros. Discovery and Disney launched a similar bundle for HBO Max, Disney+, and Hulu in 2024. While bundles can save money, they don’t completely solve the challenge of managing so many streaming options.
To simplify things, NBCUniversal and Apple have agreed to share content. Peacock subscribers will get free access to three episodes from popular Apple TV shows like Silo and Foundation. Likewise, Apple TV users can watch select episodes of Law & Order, Bel-Air, and other Peacock shows.
Matt Strauss from NBCUniversal expressed excitement about this collaboration, highlighting its unique approach to streaming bundling. Meanwhile, Apple’s Oliver Schusser mentioned that the bundle groups the best entertainment into one easy experience.
As streaming continues to evolve, deals like this one may become more common, reflecting shifting consumer preferences. According to a 2023 survey, 60% of viewers prefer bundled streaming services for cost savings and convenience. This shift could indicate a new trend in how we consume entertainment.
