Apple just launched a limited-time offer for its streaming service, Apple TV. New and returning subscribers can grab six months for only $5.99 per month. That’s a significant 54% discount from the regular price. The promotion runs from November 21 to December 1 at tv.apple.com. After the promo ends, the price will return to $12.99 a month.
However, some customers won’t qualify for this deal. If you are eligible for three free months with the purchase of an Apple device, you won’t be able to join this offer. Also, if your subscription is billed through a third party, you’re ineligible too.
This offer comes at a time when Apple TV recently raised its monthly fee from $9.99 to $12.99. It’s the third price hike in just three years.
Apple TV has been gaining traction with original shows that attract viewers. Notable titles include “Pluribus,” “Severance,” and “The Morning Show.” They’ve also added family-friendly options like Peanuts specials and MLB’s “Friday Night Baseball.” Starting in 2026, Apple TV will exclusively host Formula 1 racing in the U.S. under a five-year deal worth around $750 million.
In a recent survey, 68% of streaming viewers reported they were actively looking for more diverse content. This trend could signify that platforms, including Apple TV, might invest in more varied shows and movies to keep subscribers engaged.
For those curious about streaming trends, experts suggest that platforms will need to innovate constantly to stay competitive. With the rise of user-generated content on platforms like TikTok, traditional streaming services face new pressures to keep their audiences’ attention.
