Chapel Hill, N.C. – Excitement is building for the North Carolina women’s basketball team with the addition of Chloe Clardy, a skilled guard joining from Stanford. Standing at 5’9″, Clardy brings solid experience, having played 98 games for the Cardinal over three seasons.
In her latest season, Clardy played in 33 games and started in 11. She achieved a personal best, averaging 12.0 points per game. Known for her strong defensive skills, she led her team in steals, grabbing over two per game, which placed her fifth in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Clardy also stood out as a playmaker, averaging 2.3 assists per game.
Before joining Stanford, Clardy was a star in high school in Conway, Arkansas. She was recognized as the Gatorade Arkansas Girls Basketball Player of the Year twice and finished her high school career with over 2,500 points.
This season, Clardy will be a key asset for a Tar Heel team that’s already shown promise, celebrating 14 ACC wins—their highest total since the 2012-13 season. Carolina has also made its mark by reaching the Sweet 16 in back-to-back tournaments, making it one of only 11 schools that have appeared in three of the last five regionals.
Clardy is sure to add to the team’s dynamic, and fans can look forward to her contributions this year. Stay informed about North Carolina women’s basketball by following them on X, Instagram, and Facebook.
