Vote Now: Help Us Choose the Best Food Truck in South Florida – Your Favorite Could Be No. 1!

Food trucks have taken South Florida by storm. They offer delicious meals right from their windows, serving everything from savory snacks to sweet treats. Each food truck has its own unique style, so we wanted to find out which ones truly stand out. We asked you, our readers, to share your favorite food truck in Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties.

After gathering nominations for two weeks, we revealed the top five food trucks. The votes were counted, and it’s time to celebrate the winner: Cheffrey Eats!

Chef Jeffrey Lemmerman, the mind behind Cheffrey Eats, operates this popular food truck at Barrel of Monks Brewing in Boca Raton. He’s no stranger to competition; he also scooped the title for the Best Burger last year.

“It feels amazing to win again!” Chef Jeffrey said. “I’m grateful for the community support. These titles help grow our business and create opportunities for my team.”

Recognized for his creativity, Chef Jeffrey combines his passion for cooking with customer feedback. He prefers a collaborative team environment, reminding us that “a chef is only as good as their team.” Since his last win, business has only improved.

“Every day is better than the last,” he shared. “We worked hard last summer to keep up with demand, and I hope to open a restaurant someday.”

Chef Jeffrey’s journey with Cheffrey Eats began around three years ago, attending local events before landing a steady spot at Barrel of Monks. His menu features signature burgers, like the savory French Onion with dip and the Barnyard, topped with fried chicken and bacon. These popular burgers also inspire other menu items, demonstrating Chef Jeffrey’s talent for cross-utilizing ingredients.

For example, the pulled pork serves as a topping on both the Pigout Burger and in street tacos, showcasing culinary creativity. The Mongolian pork tacos, with a refreshing apple pico de gallo, have become a fan favorite. “We make sure every dish is crafted with love and passion,” Chef Jeffrey noted.

But the menu doesn’t stop there. Cheffrey Eats offers tasty wings, sandwiches, and even veggie-friendly starters. Some standout vegetarian options include truffle fries, buttermilk fried pickles, and Brussels sprouts drizzled with a Mongolian glaze.

When it comes to tacos, Chef Jeffrey advises customers to hold them sideways to keep the fillings in. His sandwiches, or “food cousins” as he calls them, include the Van Dammewich, featuring gluten-free fried chicken and a special sauce. Chef Jeffrey believes switching to gluten-free flour made his fried chicken even better, allowing more people to enjoy it.

His other sandwich creation, the Pesto Chicken Caprese, is loaded with fresh ingredients like mozzarella, grilled chicken, and a drizzle of balsamic on a toasted bun. Gluten-free buns are available upon request.

And what’s a meal without dessert? Cheffrey Eats serves delicious cheesecake in mason jars. This idea, inspired by another local food truck, has become a tasty staple. He cooks the cheesecakes sealed in the jars to keep them moist and flavorful.

Fans of Cheffrey Eats rave about the food. Clearwater resident Cathy Jensen said, “I wouldn’t visit Pompano Beach without stopping at Cheffrey Eats! The My Boy Bleu burger is my favorite.” Boca Raton’s Evan Berner noted, “The burgers are out of this world, and the fries are so addicting.”

Whether you’re in the mood for burgers, tacos, or something sweet, Cheffrey Eats offers a culinary adventure you won’t want to miss. This beloved food truck continues to make its mark on the South Florida food scene.

Cheffrey Eats is open seven days a week at Barrel of Monks Brewing, located at 1141 S. Rogers Circle, No. 5, Boca Raton. Check out their website for more scrumptious details.
