They’ve also supported Sean Paul’s foundation, which played a role in early recovery efforts.
Currently, over 120,000 homes in Jamaica are damaged or destroyed. This makes the logistics of this partnership crucial. By utilizing the distribution network of Food For The Poor, every dollar raised will help create stronger, more resilient homes. These “hybrid” structures are designed to withstand future storms, particularly the growing threat of more intense weather events due to climate change.
Reports show that climate-related disasters are becoming more common. A recent analysis found that the frequency of hurricanes has increased by about 20% over the last few decades. This stark reality is a reminder of the need for sustainable infrastructure to protect vulnerable communities.
