Wendy Williams, the well-known TV host, was recently taken from her assisted living facility to a hospital for an evaluation. This happened on March 10 when she reportedly threw notes out of her apartment window asking for help. The notes said, “Help! Wendy!!” She was seen waving from her window while on the phone, which led to the police getting involved.

Williams has expressed feeling trapped in the facility, describing it as a “luxury prison.” In a past interview, she stated, “I feel like I’m in prison,” insisting that she is not “cognitively impaired.” For the last couple of years, she has been under guardianship due to concerns over financial abuse and health issues.

In 2022, it was reported that Williams had been diagnosed with dementia and aphasia. Since then, she claims she hasn’t had a reevaluation of her health. Her family has faced challenges in communicating with her while she’s been in care. Her sister, Wanda Finnie, spoke out, saying, “The people who love her cannot see her.” Wendy’s situation raises concerns about the support and quality of care for individuals in similar circumstances.
