Microsoft’s Xbox sales are struggling. The latest earnings report for Q1 2026 shows that Xbox hardware revenue dropped by 29% compared to last year. This decline follows a trend where sales fell by 22% last quarter and even 42% in Q4 2024. Clearly, things aren’t looking up for Xbox.

Rising costs from tariffs and inflation are hitting hard. To cope, Microsoft has raised the price of the Xbox Series X to $599.99. Overall, Microsoft reported $77.7 billion in revenue for the quarter, an 18% rise from last year, and a net income of $27.7 billion, which is up 12%. Much of this growth stems from cloud and business productivity services, totaling $33 billion.
