Zendaya is set to star in Shrek 5, a dream come true for the actress. She has loved the Shrek movies since 2017 when she shared how much they meant to her. Now, Universal Pictures has cast her as Felicia, Shrek’s daughter.
Returning to the beloved franchise are original voices: Mike Myers as Shrek, Cameron Diaz as Princess Fiona, and Eddie Murphy as Donkey. It’s exciting news, especially since the first Shrek film debuted nearly 25 years ago. The last movie, Shrek Forever After, came out in 2010, making this a long-awaited return after 15 years.
The teaser hints at a charming scene reminiscent of Snow White, featuring a magic mirror that showcases different versions of Shrek. While the Shrek series initially aimed for five movies, it’s unclear if this will be the final one.
