People are buzzing about the upcoming ultra-slim iPhone 17 Air from Apple. However, there are worries about its battery life because of its small size. With a thinness of just 5.5mm and a screen that could reach 6.7 inches, Apple is pushing the limits to fit in all its features.
A common challenge with slim devices is fitting a battery that can last a decent amount of time. Industry expert Ming-Chi Kuo suggests that the iPhone 17 Air will tackle this issue with a high-density battery.
In a recent post, Kuo mentioned that this model will use “the same high-density battery cells as the ultra-thin iPhone 17.” If he’s right, this will be the first iPhone to feature such compact yet powerful battery cells, allowing the phone to hold more energy without taking up extra space.
While Kuo didn’t provide specific battery capacity numbers, this new technology could help keep battery life decent despite the phone’s slender profile. As noted by MacRumors, there are also enhancements like a power-efficient C1 modem and extra room for the battery because Apple has removed the Ultra Wide camera, contributing to improved battery longevity.
These advancements show that Apple aims to deliver good battery life, which should reassure users. A slim phone is great, but if it can’t last a full day, it won’t be worth it.
