Exciting Leaks Confirm PlayStation 6 and Xbox Magnus Specs—Who Will Reign Supreme in Performance?

Exciting news is buzzing in the gaming world! The specs for the PlayStation 6 and the next Xbox, rumored to be called Xbox Magnus, are reportedly locked in. Insider KeplerL2, a respected AMD leaker, suggests Microsoft’s upcoming console may outperform Sony’s offering significantly.

According to KeplerL2’s comments on NeoGAF, the leaked specs show differences that favor the Xbox. For example, it’s expected to have more CPU cores, higher frequency, and additional memory bandwidth compared to the PlayStation 6. All these factors could lead to better performance across the board. While the PS6 will be impressive, boasting around 1,200 TOPs (Trillion Operations Per Second), this is a noticeable upgrade from the PS5 Pro’s 300 TOPs but still may not match what Xbox Magnus offers.

In terms of RAM, the PlayStation 6, the new PlayStation handheld, and Xbox Magnus are set to have 30GB, 24GB, and 36GB, respectively. This is a big leap from the 16GB available in the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. As technology evolves, more RAM can enhance features like ray-tracing and AI capabilities, which are crucial for the next-gen experience.

Interestingly, Sony seems to be taking a different approach by potentially releasing two systems with varying specs. On the other hand, there’s less certainty around a lower-end version of the Xbox Magnus, as KeplerL2 hasn’t seen evidence to support that yet.

While KeplerL2 has a history of reliable leaks, it’s wise to remain cautious. Both consoles aim to launch in 2027, so we should anticipate more updates soon. The gaming landscape is changing, and as we gear up for the next generation, the excitement only grows!
