Score Big Savings: M3 MacBook Airs Up to $600 Off as New M4 Models Debut at $999!

Update 3/9: Amazon has slashed prices on select M3 MacBook Air models, making them cheaper than ever!

The latest M4 MacBook Air is available for pre-order on Amazon, starting at $999. Best Buy offers some great trade-in deals and $50 cash discounts for members. Prices for the M3 models have also dropped significantly—up to $300 off and $500 off their original prices, depending on the model.

For example, you can still get the most affordable M3 models at $200 off the new list prices. The 24GB options for both 13-inch and 15-inch versions now have an additional $100 discount.

Just a quick note: Apple increased the RAM on these models last year without raising prices. So, while these deals mark a $300 discount, they’re actually $500 off the original rates.

Now let’s compare these deals with the new M4 MacBook Air, which launched at a lower price. A 13-inch M4 MacBook Air with 24GB RAM and 512GB storage costs $1,399, and the 15-inch model is priced at $1,599. Both are pricier than the current M3 clearance deals.

It’s understandable to consider spending a bit more for the more powerful M4 chip, or waiting for a better deal on the new models. For some, the power upgrade from M4 might not be necessary.
