Tragic Houston Shooting: One Fatality and Several Injured—What You Need to Know

Police received multiple calls about the gunfire just before 1 a.m. Officers arrived quickly to find chaos, with ongoing shooting and multiple victims. Victims were moved to a nearby Jack in the Box restaurant for urgent care before being taken to hospitals.

The trouble started when an uninvited guest showed up at the gathering. After being asked to leave, this individual opened fire, leading to chaos as residents responded. Chief Patricia Cantu remarked, “The person that did this was uninvited and was asked to leave.”

At least 14 people suffered injuries alongside the one fatality. Many of the injured were in serious condition and required surgery, as confirmed by Chief Cantu.
